Estrellas según Rolling Stone (USA)

- Late Registration, Kayne West. ***** (5) - Rap. No soy muy afín al género pero no está nada mal.

- SuicideGirls: The First Tour . * (1) - DVD - Documental / Softcore Porno. Basado en el éxito web, chicas desnudas bailando mal al ritmo de Probot (y otras bandas desconocidas). Acá puede verse el trailer (que aburre).

- Bob Dylan: No Direction Home. **** (4) - DVD - Documental dirigido por Martin Scorsese, del cual ya hablé pero como sale hoy lo recuerdo (para quienes como yo lo estuvieron buscando en emule).

- Style Wars. **** (4). DVD - Documental de 1984 sobre el graffiti, o más específicamente el bombing (pintar trenes con tu nombre), en NY. Lo vi este fin de semana y está bueno y vale la pena verlo si te interesa algo algo el tema pero no le daría 4 estrellas: tiene buen material (mucho breakdance también) pero la trama se queda un poco atrás.

- Este fin de semana también vi Dogtown & Z-boys (2001), el documental en el que basaron la reciente película Lords of Dogtown.

Cuando en los '60 lanzaron el skate en USA fue furor absoluto entre los aburridos niños norteamericanos pero, como el yo-yo o el hula-hula, duró unos años y desapareció pasando a ser visto como otro invento pelotudo del markting.

Dogtown es el nombre de la zona de Venice/Santa Mónica, California donde unos 10 años después un grupo de surfers tratando de imitar los movimientos que hacían en el agua revolucionan el deporte; son los primeros en empezar a andar en piletas vacías (las primeras half-pipes) y en darle ese estilo agresivo que tiene hoy en día.

Aunque después de un rato se vuelve medio hinchabolas el tono “qué grosos que éramos” (está dirigida por Powell, uno de los pibes estos) el documental tiene mucho material muy bueno de la época que realmente sostiene el film y te deja con unas ganas incontenibles de sacar la patineta del placard.

- Ayer fue Add N to X, hoy le toca a Antitetánica: mi mimado blog de fotos encadenadas llegó a las 2000 visitas con 392 posts/fotos. Gracias a todos por su visita y sobre todo a mi mismo por mi tiempo.
- Ayer hace cuatro años EEUU le declaró la guerra al terrorismo.
- Hoy hace 9 años murió el rapero Tupac Shakur 6 días luego de ser baleado desde un auto. Tenía 25 años.
- Hoy hace 12 años Rabin y Arafat se dieron la mano luego de firmar un tratado concediéndole una parcial autonomía a Palestina. Luego en 1995, Rabin fue asesinado por un estudiante judío quien declaró que lo había matado porque estaba tratando de regalarle el país a los árabes y había que detenerlo.
- Este fin de semana le pagaron a 1.000.000 de libras a Robbie Williams por tocar en un cumpleaños de 50 en Inglaterra. Dice que lo va a donar a caridad. (link)

- "Capote" dirigida por Bennet Miller y protagonizada por el gran Philip Seymour Hoffman. Sobre el libro "A sangre fría" (muy recomendado de por cierto) del célebre Truman Capote. Según parece además es medio biográfico.


- "Bob Dylan: No direction home" documental dirigido por Martin Scorsese. El DVD sale el 20 de septiembre en USA. "The two-part film, directed by Martin Scorsese, focuses on Dylan’s life and music from 1961-66 and includes never-seen footage from the Bob Dylan Archives and interviews with Allen Ginsberg, Pete Seeger, Joan Baez and other artists and musicians whose lives intertwined with Dylan’s during that time."

Ya están las fotos de las prendas del remate de Bring & Buy que organiza SHOWstudio. Este mes también sale una producción con la selección de las mejores en la revista i-D y luego se rematan en ebay a partir del 18. No hay cosas TAAN buenas y/o locas como pensé que habría pero el proyecto en si está bueno y vale la pena echar un vistazo. Algunas de las que más me gustaron:

Dirección de arte porno

Se que nadie mira porno para contemplar su refinada dierección arte pero esto me causó gracia. La historia transcurre obviamente en un hospital... te das cuenta por la bandera de pirata.

- Ayer actualicé la página de Dee Dee García.



- Hace poco también subí la página de un cliente, Alcántara Pinturas, que aún sigue medio en construcción. Igual la linkeo así aparece más rápido en Google y así los conocen y así les compran mucha pintura y me siguen dando trabajo y yo gano plata y me compro muchas cosas que no necesito.

- Por ejemplo en el los últimos dos días gasté unos 200 pesos en librería: Anteayer fui a la de acá a la vuelta a comprar tinta china y además me llevé: un plumín, 2 pinceles, una birome descartable, una caja de 9 lapices "neon" y un bloc de papelitos de colores.

Después ayer fui a la hiperlibería teorema (en la cual siempre que voy me compro 20 boludeces y esta vez para colmo venía de cobrar dos trabajitos) y compré: unos post-it, un porta bloc de papelitos de colores, un set de 3 biromes y un portamina rotring, 4 marcadores indelebles de colores, un cuaderno de dibujo kafka y 6 potes de pintura para tela. Lo único que "necesitaba" era un mouse pad y no lo encontré.

- Más temprano me había comprado una remera de los Rolling Stones blanca con la lengua en el frente y atrás la frase "Its only rock and roll". Meri dice que soy un careta. Tiene razón.

- Meri me pasó este Link. No es un 'page flip' más, eh.

- Hoy en teoría publican acá las fotos de los productos del remate de "Bring & Buy" organizado por SHOWstudio. Pero todavía no los veo... igual hoy subieron algunas entradas para otro proyecto muy bueno que se llama Amaze me. (por ejemplo)

- "Un Viaje", el disco triple en vivo de Cafe Tacuba es un muy buen ejemplo de por qué en mi opinión son por lejos la mejor banda latinamericana del momento y de hace ya varios años.

Igual ayer lo estaba escuchandoy noté algo medio hincha bolas: cada vez que dicen algo, por más trivial que sea, se escucha un gritito desesperado de mina, siempre igual. Me hizo pensar que talvez los aplausos y ruido del publico en general también están medio truchados.

Aunque no es para tanto como un DVD en vivo de Shakira para el cual grabaron falsos primeros planos del público enardecido en un estudio acá en Bs As y con música de playback.

- Recomiedo mucho los primeros 5 discos de Roxy Music. Si no sabés por cual empezar podés probar con "Country Life".

- Hace un ratito terminé de hacer este volante para la fecha de Nikita y Doris:
